In the picturesque setting of Porto Cervo’s historic quay, an exceptional destination for prestigious international yacht owners, one of the most exclusive summer attractions reopens from the 26th June to the 5th September: the Waterfront Costa Smeralda. An elegant lounge, the renowned luxury temporary store is home to internationally renowned brands and prestigious ateliers, for devotees of fashion and jewellery, automobiles, yachts and well-being, where each space is designed to offer a unique experience.Sanlorenzo returns for the fourth consecutive year with its own space, designed by Art Director Piero Lissoni, which has become a reference point in Costa Smeralda for owners and admirers of the shipyard.A temporary atelier for all yachting enthusiasts, giving them the opportunity to get to know Sanlorenzo up close and begin the process of creating their own bespoke yacht.
In a new booth, designed by Piero Lissoni, Sanlorenzo takes part in the Palma International Boat Show, the first European boat show of 2021 which, from 3rd to 6th June, will host more than 227 exhibitors and more than 180 boats in the evocative setting of the Moll Vell in Palma de Mallorca. On the occasion of this event, Sanlorenzo presents the SX76 and SX88 crossover models, a synthesis between the classic motoryacht with flying bridge and the explorer yachts. A new type of yacht, transversal in relation to the various segments, born from Sanlorenzo’s unique ability to grasp and anticipate the evolution of trends, becoming a model of inspiration in the sector. The SX76 and SX88 are presented in Palma in the setting of the new booth, which is born continuum with the image developed for boat shows around the world and occupies an area of 64 square meters where two containers, which recall the world of shipbuilding and which contain two elegant meeting rooms, and a welcoming outdoor lounge surrounded by tall exotic plants, create a sophisticated and very cool environment. A project that communicates the internationality and quality of the company, without neglecting its industrial soul.
On the occasion of the Biennale Architettura 2021, Sanlorenzo presents, in collaboration with minimalist designer and architect John Pawson, the exhibition “A Point of View”, which from 22 May to 31 July will be staged in the Sale De Maria of the Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice, an exhibition space that has become a point of reference for contemporary photography over the years. Structured in the two sections “Sanlorenzo” and “Home”, the exhibition is a true tale of the designer’s distinctive spatial poetry, which rests firmly on two cornerstones, the perfect calibration between space, proportion, light and materials, and the search for the essential by omitting the superfluous. Only when a project can no longer be improved by subtraction is the objective achieved. These defining themes become the leitmotif of an exhibition that explores John Pawson’s aesthetic vision through two parallel subjects: his own home and the new yacht he designed for Sanlorenzo.
Sanlorenzo continues its journey towards contemporary photography, grappling with a reality as complex as that of its production spaces. This time it is the lens of photographer Veronica Gaido who tells us about the shipyard in the exhibition “Dedalo”, on show from 13th May to 27th June in Venice in the De Maria rooms of the Casa dei Tre Oci, an exhibition space that over the years has become a reference point for photography.Veronica Gaido amazes us with her use of colour, immersing us in a fascinating impressionistic nuance, which she has called “Dedalo”, because it leads us into this mythical labyrinth from which Sanlorenzo products are born. The routes between the scaffolding, the silhouettes of the factories, the piers, the cranes are all transfigured, carrying the visitors in this dreamlike dimension, which tell us about the complexity of the Sanlorenzo shipyard.
Sanlorenzo confirms its participation at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2021, one of the most important events in the nautical world. A prestigious international stage where, from 25th to 28th March, the new SX112 yacht will make its official debut on the American market, together with a selection of the latest innovations, the SX76, SD96 and SL96Aymmetric.The SX112 is the consolidation of a path that began with the SX88 and then the SX76, a challenge that continues and is enriched with new content, and which aims to propose a new way of experiencing the sea: on board the barriers fall away and the boat opens up to the outside world and connects with the marine environment. In keeping with Sanlorenzo’s sartorial approach, an essential value and an integral part of the company’s design culture, the yachts on display are tailor-made to meet the needs of American clients.

Direct contact with the water, a Mediterranean look and new engine options underscore the renewal of the Itama range.A sporty character, pared down lines and seafaring style: the Itama brand is an unmistakable style icon with values and an appearance that stay true to tradition. Last 2020 has seen a renewal of the range to perfect and modernise various functional design and technology features, helping maintain Itama’s typically evergreen character.Designed in collaboration with Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee led by engineer Piero Ferrari, the Group Engineering Department and architect Marco Casali, the Itama range is the perfect combination of power and elegance, with its unmistakable Mediterranean spirit and unique streamlined and sporty lines, celebrated around the world for the Italian style that has led to these magnificent boats being defined as “designed by the sea”.The real novelty in the new range is the introduction of a style feature that strives to achieve the highest principles of functional design, in the form of a central glass door incorporated in the windscreen that makes access to the bow area on the main deck safer and more practical. The sliding hatch acts as a passageway, which is why it not only has steps built into it but also is made of a special aluminium honeycomb that is both strong and lightweight. This solution, which increases not only the comfort but also the safety of Itama yachts, will be added to traditional forward access along the side walkways. On Itama 45S and 62S, the opening mechanism for the central door is manual, while on Itama 75 it is electric. ITAMA 45SThe Itama 45S is heir to one of the shipyard’s most successful models with a Mediterranean soul. It shares numerous aesthetic elements with its predecessor, including the concealed hydraulic gangway integrated into the hull and the stern swimming platform, which can be lowered into the water to launch and land the tender. This model stands out for the excellent use of space, designed to meet the needs of each individual owner. The predominant colour in the interiors is white – white lacquered wood, teak Venetian blinds – in contrast with the blue bridge, which when combined with the big windows gives the spaces a very bright and airy feel. The boat can be ordered with one or two guest cabins, in addition to the master stateroom in the bow. Itama 45 S is fitted with twin Cummins 550 mhp engines that guarantee a top speed of 34 knots. This is 140 hp more than the previous version, delivered by compact propulsion systems that ensure there is plenty of technical space on board. ITAMA 62SItama 62S focuses on solutions that make the most of her effective volume, onboard liveability, space optimisation and the experience of freedom during navigation. This mood can be seen starting from the large cockpit, which in addition to the spacious sunbathing area contains a living and dining area with an extendible table and a comfortable sofa facing the bar unit on the left. Forward, protected by the big front and side windscreen, is the helm station with the co-pilot chair and chaise longue next to it on the starboard side. The décor below deck offers a broad range of customisations, without affecting the perfect compartmentation of the day and night settings, arranged to offer a lounge with a dinette and galley, the master stateroom in the bow and two guest cabins aft. The table mechanism allows the dinette to be transformed into a supplementary sofa bed.Twin MAN V12 1400 mhp engines were chosen for the new Itama 62S, delivering a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 37 knots.ITAMA 75Itama 75 is a yacht that offers a deeply rich and innovative experience to all the most demanding open yacht devotees.Arriving on board, you immediately perceive the quality of the liveability and space usage solutions on board this motoryacht, representing an innovative approach that achieves greater differentiation and functional enrichment while maintaining the high quality of the finishes typical of these vessels. The result is great appeal and exclusive content. The main deck stands out for both its size and its equipment. Divided into four areas, it has a sunpad in the bow over the hangar for the tender or jet ski, a living area with big sofas upholstered with waterproof fabric that slide together to form a C shape and can accommodate up to 12 people around the teak table, while in the centre is the helm station with the co-pilot’s chair on the left and a big chaise longue under the windscreen, to enjoy the cruise in total relaxation from the most comfortable position on the boat.Below deck, the interiors are decorated in warm, welcoming colours and the standard layout features three cabins: the full beam master stateroom, a VIP cabin in the bow and a guest cabin with twin beds on the left. The roomy dinette can also be fitted with a bar. The boat is also available with a four-cabin layout, all with en suite bathrooms. The carbon and glass windscreen is almost 26 metres long. The use of carbon has made it possible to reduce its weight by about 60% compared to a windscreen the same size but with a steel structure. This design choice improves performance in terms of both speed and consumption, both key factors for boats with such a sporty temperament. Itama 75 is equipped with twin 1823 hp MTU engines with ZF Sea Rex 140 propulsion, driving it to a top speed of up to 42 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 37 knots.
